TwinBee is a series of shoot 'em up games developed by Konami and released for various systems. The series is one of the codifiers of the "cute 'em up" subgenre alongside Sega's Fantasy Zone, ditching the science-fiction or world war settings from other shooters in favor of a more light-hearted approach, featuring comic-styled characters and enemies and vibrant colors.
The series would receive an assortment of merchandise, including action-figures, drama discs and even a animated OVA.
