Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a multimedia franchise which originally began in 1984 as a comic book series published by Mirage Studios, but later forked into various other media, becoming popular thanks to the 1987 animated tv series. Though each series of the franchise have it's own story, they all center around the titular turtles, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael, and their never-ending fight against their archnemesis known as the Shredder.

Konami would develop and publish the majority of the video game adaptations of the franchise, most of which are based on the 1987 cartoon.
