Pirate Ship is a redemption arcade game developed and published by Konami in 1995.
The player takes the role of a pirate on a ship whose goal is to collect lots of coins in order to reach a secret island.
This arcade game uses a boat-steering wheel to control the ship. There are three stages to choose from; each of these has a determined number of coins to be collected in order to gain access to the treasure island at the end. Coins are found floating on the water as well as inside treasure chests, but the task to collect them won't be easy as the player skills will be required in order to avoid landscapes, boats, sharks, octopuses and various other obstacles that come along the way. Crashing into any of these will result in money being deducted from the player's collection, with varying amounts depending on the type of obstacle.
At the end of the levels, if the coins collected were enough, then a key will be granted to the player with which they can gain access to the secret cave island. Inside, the player is given the option to choose from three chests, one of which contains the treasure while the other two grant the right to start all over again.
