The Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), in Japan: Family Computer or just Famicom, was an 8-bit home video game console, developed by Nintendo. It was released in Japan on 15 July 1983.[1], in North America on 18 October 1985 and in various European countries on 1 September 1986.
Konami and the Nintendo Entertainment System[]
Konami scored many major successes throughout the lifespan of the console. Nintendo rules of the time only allowed other companies to publish a limited number of games each year. This led to the establishments of Ultra Games and Palcom Software, who would publish many Komami games for the console.[2]
