Grand Cross Gold is a pusher game developed and published by Konami released on January 20, 2022 in Japan. It is the sixth game in the Grand Cross series.
The machine[]
The cabinet houses 16 different stations, each with support up to two people per station, for up to 32 player play, which is the biggest at the time. With a diameter of about 6.4 m and a height of about 3.8 m, it is a size that is unprecedented for a commercial medal game machine so far, and it is the world's largest housing size for a pusher machine.
In addition, it is also compatible with Konami's network service "e-AMUSEMENT", and the ranking of the number of acquisitions such as jackpot is aggregated, and the version is being upgraded online.
This installment is a conversion of Dreamsphere Grand Cross. Like Grand Cross Legend, the arcade can choose the satellites to upgrade the game, mixing the machine with other installments.
Overview[]
Grand Cross Gold is a massive-scale coin pusher with 16 different stations, in the theme of arabian world-like.
Gameplay[]
Playing Grand Cross Gold is simple but there is a lot to see. We will cover these features plus more here in this section.
Main Game[]
To play, you must simply insert medals from the sides of the station you are playing in. You must aim at the three Checker holes on the pusher. Doing so will gain you a stock which is represented by an item on the left-hand side of the screen. You can hold up to 10 stocks, in which if the stocks are full, stocks will level up and change appearance up to five times. The main objective is to push medals down the center hole to win them.
The Slot[]
As you drop the medals into the "checkers", you can acquire Slot Stocks to spin the slot in the form of different icons. Tracked Slot Stocks are shown on the bottom side of the screen, and count down as every spin goes. If you fill the Slot Stocks up to the top, you can acquire higher level stocks which award more medals if you win the slot, as signified by the icons transforming. All levels of stock include:
- Level 1: 30 medals
- Level 2: 50 medals
- Level 3: 70 medals
- Level 4: 90 medals
- Level 5: 120 medals
During slot play, line up three Numbers or Symbols to win prizes. The paytable is as follows:

- Numbers 1,3,5,9: Normal Medal win + Goal Step win + Gold Time (Fever Mode).

- Double Blue Bonus is 300 instead of 200.
- Other rewards are increased by the number of Super JP Garapon Level. When a Goal Step is collected, the Super Jackpot Garapon Level goes up by 10% of the medals won.
Satellite Challenge[]
When a ball drops from the field down the center hole, that game goes to the Satellite Challenge. This is how you can go to the Jackpot Chance, where you can win the jackpots of this game.
The Satellite Challenge takes place on a central roulette positioned on the top of the four stations, known as a Satellite. It has an outer area compromised of ten holes and a central area compromised of five holes. A ball is vended out the same way a ball is vended out on the field, but instead, the platform raises it onto a ramp to send the ball in motion around the roulette. To get to the center area, the platform raises the ball to a higher ramp and puts it there.
In this installment, the Satellite Challenge is the one conversed from Dreamsphere Grand Cross. The holes are:
- JP CHANCE Hole. If hit, the player will go to the Jackpot Chance.
- Number holes, one for each number (1~8). If hit, the player will get one scratch on Jewel Scratch with the number.
- NEXT Hole. If hit, the player will go to the Special Satellite Challenge.
Special Satellite Challenge[]
The holes in Special Satellite Challenge are:
- RJP CHANCE Hole. If hit, the player will go to the Royal Jackpot Chance.
- Number holes, one hole for two numbers (1 and 2, 3 and 4...). If hit, the player will get two scratches on Jewel Scratch with the number.
Jewel Scratch[]
Depending on the number the player get in Satellite Challenge or Special Satellite Challenge, the player will get one scratch on Jewel Scratch. In Jewel Scratch there are two scratch cards, the red card containing the Medal Jewels, and the blue card containing the Item Jewels such as Balls, JP Garapon, and JP Chances.
- If any Jewel is completely revealed after a number panel is scratched, they get the Jewel as the reward and the card resets.
- If the player did not win anything, they get 20 medals instead.
- If the player get the number that is already scratched:
- For red card, the winning multiplier goes up by 0.2 for each used number. The multiplier maxes out at 5.
- For blue card, the player collects one Special Step for each used number. Collecting four steps gives the player one try at Special Satellite Challenge.
The Jewel Scratch is unavailable when in Gold Premium Mode.
Jackpot Chance[]
When a ball gets into the JACKPOT CHANCE hole in Satellite Challenge or the player get the Jackpot Chance Jewel from Jewel Scratch, they will get 1 drawing on the big device on the center of the machine.
The game begins as the center device rotates to your station. Then, as it settles into place, the text "JACKPOT CHANCE" appears on the screen. Numerous golden particles integrate into the Main Roulette before inserting into the Roulette frame, starting the Chance. Two Jackpots current values are shown at the side screens, with the corresponding Jackpot Bonus displayed right below of the JP number.
A ball is then thrown out of the left or right side of the machine, and into the slowly spinning roulette. The roulette has 20 pockets numbered 1-20, and each contains a reward once the ball lands into one of them. Possible rewards listed below:
- 100: 100 medals are paid out to the field.
- BINGO: Activates Big Bingo Chance.
- CHANCE: Activates Premium Chance.
- SILVER JACKPOT: Win the Silver Jackpot.

The Silver Jackpot grows continuously as coins are inserted into the machine, at a rate of 0.03 per medal. The Gold Jackpot, on the other hand, increases every Jackpot Chance if it's not won, at a rate of 25 per drawing.

Like the regular Jackpot Chance, numerous golden particles integrate into the Main Roulette, but before inserting into the Roulette frame, a Magic Circle will appear, changing the Jackpots into Royal Jackpot. The Chance itself, and the other rewards, are the same as the regular Jackpot Chance.
The Royal Jackpot grows continuously as coins are inserted into the machine, at a rate of 0.01 per medal. If the machine is mixed with Dreamsphere Grand Cross Satellites, the value is shared with the Super Jackpot. That is, if someone playing Dreamsphere scores the Super Jackpot, the Royal Jackpot resets as well!!

- Ball: A Field Ball will be dropped to the field.
- Garapon: Instant Jackpot Garapon
- Direct Satellte: Instant Satellite Challenge
- Direct Special Satellte: Instant Special Satellite Challenge
During Satellite Challenge, the Number holes are used to determine if this mode will continue or end. If the ball falls into red holes, the Gold Premium Mode will continue, and the hole will become blue from the next round. If the ball falls into blue hole, the Gold Premium Mode will end. 100 medals are paid out for each Satellite Challenge played, and 100 points will be added into your score, regardless of the result. If NEXT is hit, then the medals will be paid out after the Special Satellite Challenge.

Then, as the music begins to play, the "curtain" of the device slowly opens up, revealing the Jackpot payout mechanism. However, the mechanism will not rotate, and instead a two-reel digital slot will light up on the LED lights, starting the Rush.
The numbers on each reel are 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. After each spin, the numbers displayed on the slot will be the medals you win. If the numbers paired up (55, 66...), the player will get another spin and win more medals. If not, then the Gold Rush is over.
