Gradius: Michi Tono Tatakai (グラディウス―未知との戦い, Guradiusu ― Michi Tono Tatakai, lit. "Gradius: Battle with the Unknown") is a "choose-your-own-adventure"-style gamebook based on the Famicom video game of the first game. It was published by Konami and released in 1986 in Japan.

What awaited me when I awoke from a deep sleep was a completely different world. The world – the Gladius star system – was full of war. Lifeless killing machines and strange monsters were moving.
