Plot[]

The player takes control of Joe Osugi, a ninja tasked with stopping a terrorist group influenced by the Mad Masks, masks that give the wearer obscene power. Joe Osugi must defeat the terrorists and rescue the hostages through three levels.

Gameplay[]

The game is an action platform game and plays a bit similar to the Shinobi games with gameplay elements borrowed from other games, such as Bionic Commando or Batman games. Like Shinobi games, the player has to deliver hostages in various stages. Some hostages are hidden inside rooms with colored doors that can only be opened with the corresponding colored keys. Those keys are hidden through the stages, and managing to get the red key and reaching the red door generally ends the stage, leading to a boss fight.

Joe Osugi also dispose of weapons such as katanas, shurikens and special moves that help him get rid of the numerous enemies. But its most important weapon is the grappin that he needs to use almost all the time to reach higher platforms.
