Code One Dispatch (緊急車両24時 Kinkyū Sharyō 24-ji?, lit. "24 Hour Emergency Vehicle") is a racing video game developed and published by Konami released on arcade platforms on December 2000.
Gameplay[]
Code One Dispatch revolves around search and rescue vehicles racing to emergencies on missions that must be accomplished against the clock.
Missions[]
Buildings Ablaze![]
Dispatcher: "An earthquake has hit the downtown area, and a fire has broken out at the hi-rise hotel; please proceed to the scene."
Firefighter: "Uh, Fire Engine 25, copy that."
A hotel has caught on fire and a civilian is trapped on one of the upper floors. The player must drive the fire truck to the site to rescue the victim and put the fire out.
Get to the Hospital![]
Dispatcher: "Ambulance 23, please proceed to Central Hospital."
Patient: "(Groans) You need to get me to a doctor."
Paramedic: "I copy that, proceeding to Central Hospital."
A truck has collided with a car and the latter motorist has been injured. An ambulance arrives at the scene, the victim is loaded aboard, and then the player must drive the ambulance to get the patient to the hospital.
Stop the Robbers Before they Escape![]
Dispatcher: "Robbery at the World Bank; Unit 707, proceed to World Bank - 2-11 in progress."
Officer: "Unit 707 en route."
Armed robbers have began attacking a bank in an effort to steal money. The player must drive the police car to the bank to take them in.
Proceed to the Scene Immediately!![]
Dispatcher: "A truck is overturned in the suburbs; its leaking toxic chemicals."
Driver: "Uh, copy that, Biohazard Truck 01 en route."
A car collides with a tanker truck, causing the latter to tumble onto its side and leak a pink liquid. The player must drive the semi truck to the accident in an effort to quarantine the waste.
Rescue the Survivors!![]
Dispatcher: "All yacht passengers are drowning off north beach, please proceed by rescue helicopter."
Pilot: "Uh, Rescue Unit; copy that."
A storm has caused a man on a boat to fall overboard. The player must fly the rescue helicopter to the ocean and rescue the drowning civilian.
Nail the Drug Boss!![]
Mobster: "Okay, the goods have been delivered."
Dispatcher: "Don't let him cross the border; go after him."
Driver: "Roger."
Two criminals are stealing drugs. Using the undercover police car, the player must chase after the drug boss and his assistant and arrest them.
Rush the President to the Airport![]
President: "I'm calling on every citizen--"
(Static)
Agent 23: Agent 23 calling from the airport. We're all clear for departure, get here ASAP."
Driver: "Yes sir."
Whilst the President of the United States is giving a speech at City Hall, the place is abruptly attacked. The player then must drive the President's limousine (being lead by two motorcycles) and get him to the airport.
Attack the Monster![]
Dispatcher: "Emergency, a monster has appeared on the beach. Requesting military action."
Commander: "Copy, sending tank units to the area."
A giant fire-breathing monster (a nod to Godzilla) has emerged out of the water near a harbor and is causing destruction. The player must drive the army tank to the harbor so the army may attack and defeat the monster.
Secret Mission[]
Technically not a full mission, but appears after all main missions are complete with secret bonuses. The player accelerates and launches a space rescue shuttle down a runway, running through some aliens in the process. The shuttle then flies through a credits sequence set in space and concludes at an alien ship of sorts displaying the Konami logo.
